Work Health and Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Work Health and Safety Specialist.

This role covers a wide range of functions including rehabilitation and injury management within NSW, comprehensive understanding of NSW workers compensation legislation and SIRA guidelines, and effective communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years experience in the NSW workers compensation scheme or self-insurance, a strong understanding of Work Health and Safety, and excellent numeracy skills with an elevated level of accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice on work health and safety matters.
  • Conduct site visits and audits to identify potential hazards.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of NSW workers compensation legislation and SIRA guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and claims management systems.
