About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Mental Health Clinician to join our dynamic team at Lithgow Community Health Centre. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality mental health services that cater to the diverse needs of our clients.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with consumers, carers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure recovery-oriented service provision.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic care that addresses the physical, emotional, and social needs of our clients.
  • Provide high-quality mental health assessments and interventions, utilising your expertise in psychology, social work, occupational therapy, nursing, or a related field.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of mental health policies and procedures, ensuring that they align with best practice and evidence-based guidelines.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions to enhance the delivery of mental health services.

What You'll Need To Succeed
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, such as psychology, social work, occupational therapy, nursing, or a related discipline.
  • Eligibility for membership of relevant professional bodies and/or full registration with AHPRA.
  • Experience working with people with mental illness, demonstrated skills in mental health assessments and interventions, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer competence and literacy, with experience using electronic medical records systems.
  • A current driver's license and willingness to use it for work purposes.
