Job Summary:

  • Postgraduate experience in mental health and eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers are required.
  • The successful candidate will demonstrate skills in mental health social work assessments and interventions, with experience working with people with mental illness.
  • They will also be able to collaborate meaningfully with consumers and carers, with a commitment to trauma-informed care and recovery principles.
  • Understanding of culturally sensitive practice and commitment to Aboriginal mental health and wellbeing principles are essential.

Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality clinical social work mental health services to individuals experiencing mental illness or disorders. Develop and implement individualised treatment plans that address the unique needs of each consumer. Provide education and support to consumers and carers on mental health issues and available services.
