Our Explosive Ordnance (EO) Services team enables the Australian Defence Force through storage, distribution, maintenance, and disposal of systems across Australia. As a turnkey solution, we offer holistic understanding of our business operations, creating opportunities for growth.

The Disposals Officer will support disposal activities across the EO network, preparing disposal stock, conducting disposal operations, and collaborating with internal stakeholders.

This role requires a proactive approach, including travel to different locations, coordinating activities, and ensuring compliance.

  • Conduct disposal activities at designated locations, including pre- and post-activity tasks
  • Coordinate personnel involved in disposal operations while ensuring compliance
  • Assist the Disposals Manager in planning and administering disposal activities, including creating technical documentation and job safety environmental analyses
  • Engage with EO depots to facilitate effective disposal operations and manage logistics
  • Maintain communication with internal stakeholders to ensure project objectives and deadlines are consistently met
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Qualifications in Explosive Ordnance or knowledge of Dangerous Goods or equivalent experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office & practical knowledge of inventory management systems
  • Previous experience in Logistics, Warehousing, and/or understanding of defence disposal policies is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
