**Library Support Position Available**

We are seeking a professional and experienced library assistant to join our team at Clairvaux MacKillop College. The successful candidate will provide high-quality support services to students, staff, and the broader school community.

The role involves working closely with the Teacher-Librarian and other library staff to deliver a range of library and resource centre services, including information and reference services, technical support, and promotional activities.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Previous library experience, particularly in a school environment
  • A friendly demeanour, promoting a welcoming atmosphere for students and staff
  • Certificate IV Library and Information Services or equivalent
  • Knowledge of and skill working with the Oliver Library Management system (highly desirable)

You will also have strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in cataloguing and information management, as well as a proactive approach to problem solving and resource management.

The position is 30 hours per week term time only, continuing, with hours of work primarily between 7:30am and 2:00pm but could be up till 4pm on certain days.

**Key Responsibilities Include:**

  • Providing high-quality library and resource centre services to students, staff, and the broader school community
  • Working closely with the Teacher-Librarian and other library staff to deliver a range of services
  • Assisting with the maintenance of the library collection, including cataloguing and weeding
  • Providing technical support and assistance to students and staff

**Requirements:**

  • Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement
  • Be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
  • Have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education
