Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Culinary Manager to join our team at Terizi Six Pty Ltd.

The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in the culinary industry, with a proven track record of managing kitchen staff and ensuring high-quality food preparation.

In this role, you will be responsible for planning menus, estimating food and labor costs, and ordering supplies. You will also oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including supervising cooks and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement menus that meet the needs of our customers
  • Estimate food and labor costs, and ensure that expenses are within budget
  • Order supplies and manage inventory
  • Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations
  • Cook food to a high standard, meeting quality and presentation expectations
  • Delegate tasks to kitchen staff, prioritizing workloads and managing workflow
  • Communicate effectively with wait staff, informing them of daily specials and menu changes
  • Hire, train, and supervise cooks and other food preparation workers
  • Experiment with new recipes and suggest changes to improve menu offerings
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience in the culinary industry
  • Degree in Hospitality or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven track record of managing kitchen staff and ensuring high-quality food preparation
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure, meeting deadlines and managing workload
