As an APS 6 Prostheses List Assessment Officer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing medical services and prostheses listing access in Australia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the end-to-end assessment and evaluation process for the Prostheses List, ensuring compliance with regulations and guidelines.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of Prostheses List applications, identifying and resolving compliance errors.
  • Collaborate with clinicians, experts, and advisory groups to review and analyze technical and clinical information.
  • Provide advice on Health Technology Assessment (HTA) matters and administrative support, including drafting amendments and preparing briefs.
Requirements
  • Experience in medical devices and Health Technology Assessment, with qualifications in biomaterial, biomedical engineering, nursing, or health-science-related disciplines.
  • Current knowledge of the Prostheses List/Prescribed List, Medical Device, and Human Tissue Products.
  • Highly developed written communication and project management skills, with the ability to deliver on competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Capacity to acquire knowledge quickly and adapt to a dynamic environment, working effectively with complex stakeholders.
