Senior Middleware Database Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Middlewares Database Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in database administration, including patching, cloning, upgrades, migrations, troubleshooting, applications security & performance tuning (code review).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Database Administration: Install, configure, test, optimise, implement and commission server level software components needed to support software development and operational services.
  • Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports, documentation and recommendations on the operational performance of the software and database technologies.
  • Relationship Management: Establish and maintain highly effective working relationships internally with other staff and externally to ensure the alignment and integration of operational services, processes and prioritisation of projects and business changes.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide high level technical expertise, system analysis to provide technical direction through solution design, standardisation, professional advice and support of enterprise infrastructure in a large customer focus organisation.
Requirements:
  • Extensive hands-on database administration experience including patching, cloning, upgrades, migrations, troubleshooting, applications security & performance tuning (code review).
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high level of technical expertise, system analysis to provide technical direction through solution design, standardisation, professional advice and support of enterprise infrastructure in a large customer focus organisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather insights and embrace new ideas and innovation to inform future practice.
  • Well-developed conceptual, analytical, research and problem-solving skills and ability to develop and promote ITIL Service Management processes primarily incident / problem / change / release management.
