Senior Middleware Database Administrator

Job Overview:

This role presents a great opportunity for an experienced professional to join a motivated team supporting statewide systems within the Digital Health Branch. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on database administration experience, including patching, cloning, upgrades, migrations, troubleshooting, applications security & performance tuning (code review).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, test, optimize, implement and commission server level software components needed to support software development and operational services.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, documentation and recommendations on the operational performance of the software and database technologies.
  • Establish and maintain highly effective working relationships internally with other staff and externally to ensure the alignment and integration of operational services, processes and prioritization of projects and business changes.
  • Provide high-level technical skills in the analysis of IT system issues and the formulation, design and provision of appropriate solutions and improvements, including the review of proposed software and infrastructure design solutions, providing advice on data models required to support solutions.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have well-developed conceptual, analytical, research and problem-solving skills and ability to develop and promote ITIL Service Management processes primarily incident / problem / change / release management.
