
End-to-End Payroll Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join our team.
About the Role- Manage the full payroll cycle end-to-end, from interpreting time and attendance data and preparing payroll finalisation, through to banking, payroll clearing, and Single Touch Payroll (STP) reconciliation.
- Run payroll systems, including payroll system finalisation through to banking, payroll clearing, and STP reconciliation.
- Lead payroll compliance activities including PAYG, payroll tax, superannuation, and end-of-month reconciliations.
- Provide guidance and subject matter expertise to payroll team members, leaders, and employees.
- Support system upgrades, process improvements, and payroll-related projects to drive efficiency and accuracy.
This is a hands-on role where you will manage the full payroll cycle end-to-end.

- Liaise with various stakeholders to resolve complex payroll queries.
- Deliver high-quality payroll services across the business.
- Evaluate current processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
- Prepare payroll finalisation and execute banking processes.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll payments.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to payroll operations.
- Analyse payroll data to inform business decisions.
- Implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce costs.
- Minimum 5 years' experience managing end-to-end payroll in a medium to large organisation.
- Strong working knowledge of payroll legislation, taxation, and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated experience with payroll system finalisation, banking processes, payroll clearing, and STP reporting/reconciliation.
- Experience with time & attendance (T&A) data integration, interpretation, and end-of-month processes.
- High attention to detail with the ability to resolve complex payroll queries.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to coach and mentor others.
- Proficiency in payroll systems such as Chris21, SAP, SuccessFactors, or similar enterprise platforms.
