Research OpportunityWe are seeking a highly motivated researcher to join our team as a PhD scholar in the field of neurovascular physiology. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work on a cutting-edge project that aims to detect socio-cognitive disorders early in preterm infants using state-of-the-art multi-channel near infrared spectroscopy (NIRS).
Job DescriptionThis is an exciting opportunity for candidates with background/training in clinical neonatology or follow-up of high-risk infants to be part of a multidisciplinary cohort of clinicians and researchers based at Monash Newborn and Department of Paediatrics.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research on neurovascular physiology and its correlation with neurodevelopmental assessments in preterm infants
- Develop and implement NIRS-based protocols for assessing brain function in infants
- Collaborate with the supervisory team to design and execute experiments
Candidates must possess excellent research skills, strong communication and teamwork abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
