PhD Scholarship – Neonatal Brain Injury and Neurodevelopmental Follow-up Researcher

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented PhD scholar to join our research team at Monash University. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a cutting-edge project investigating neonatal brain injury and neurodevelopmental follow-up.
About the ProjectThe project aims to use state-of-the-art multi-channel near infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) to assess the functional brain response of infants born preterm in long-term follow-up. The research will focus on correlations between neurovascular physiology, neuroimaging, and neurodevelopmental assessments.
About the RoleThe PhD scholar will be part of a multidisciplinary team of clinicians and researchers based at Monash Newborn and Department of Paediatrics. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with Associate Professor Flora Wong and Dr Robin Laycock, and other co-supervisors as needed.
