Senior Legal Counsel

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Counsel to join our team in Darwin. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing specialist legal advice in a commercial and government context.
Key Responsibilities- Provide timely and accurate legal advice on a broad range of legal areas, including preparation of reports and correspondence on complex issues.
- Assist with the preparation and drafting of leases, licences, and other agreements, as well as drafting and reviewing contracts, documents, agreements, and associated documentation.
- Provide advice to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Coordinate the development and implementation of appropriate policies and procedures to effectively manage the procurement function and ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
- Manage relevant staff to support ongoing service delivery and achieve functional objectives in procurement and contract management.
- Commercial law experience and broad expertise, including an understanding of government legislation.
- Experience implementing policies, procedures, and work-plans to enhance service delivery.
- Ability to work collaboratively across the organization and provide services to support effective governance and deliver on legislative compliance.
