About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Claim Assessor in the Department of Transport and Planning.

As a Claim Assessor, you will be responsible for assessing and processing property insurance claims related to natural disasters, such as floods and storms. You will work closely with stakeholders, including customers, contractors, and internal teams, to ensure that claims are processed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and process property insurance claims related to natural disasters
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including customers, contractors, and internal teams
  • Collaborate with the claims assessing team to ensure that claims are processed efficiently and effectively
  • Implement and refine the property insurance claims process to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Provide management with accurate and authoritative advice on claims-related matters

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary degree in business, engineering, or public policy, or extensive relevant experience
  • Experience in insurance claims or general process management would be beneficial
