Position Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Tal's Finance division for a Senior Risk Management Specialist. In this pivotal role, you will report directly to the Head of Business Management and Risk, Finance, and be an integral part of a frontline risk team dedicated to ensuring regulatory compliance and financial integrity through proactive risk strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide timely risk management and compliance insights to finance stakeholders, facilitating commercial success while ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory standards.
- Guide the business in identifying, categorizing, measuring, and monitoring risks and compliance obligations.
- Offer leadership to one direct report, focusing on goal setting, professional development, and overall support for their success.
- Assist finance teams in recognizing potential risks and compliance challenges related to their operational objectives, including incident and breach reporting.
- Coordinate the development of remediation strategies and implementation plans for essential corrective actions and preventive measures, securing necessary approvals.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to assess the implications of upcoming regulatory and legislative changes.
- Support key reporting obligations, providing insights into operational risk issues, including root cause analysis of incidents.
- Create a comprehensive roadmap for risk and compliance initiatives, aligning priorities with senior leadership.
- Stay informed on significant changes to compliance regulations and risk management policies, particularly those affecting finance operations.
- Implement and refine guidelines and procedures within your area of responsibility, ensuring they meet best practices and organizational objectives.
- Manage mid to large-scale risk management and compliance projects, enhancing service delivery to the business.
- Prepare information reports for the Finance Risk Committee, supplying relevant data to aid management decision-making.
Qualifications
- Degree in a relevant field.
- Extensive experience in risk management and compliance or a related area.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Proficient analytical skills.
- Solid understanding of the insurance sector.
- Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex technical issues.
