Merchandise Strategy Manager:

We are seeking a highly skilled Merchandise Strategy Manager to partner with our Australian Leadership Team and shape our brand elevating merchandise strategy.

This is a senior leadership position that requires the ability to think strategically, analyze market trends, and develop innovative product strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of merchandising professionals: Foster a collaborative culture that champions consumer insights and customer needs.
  • Develop local insights: Analyze consumer trends, pricing, and competitors to inform product decisions.
  • Shape seasonal product briefs: Balance market needs with brand vision to drive sales and growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Curate compelling assortments that meet customer expectations.
  • Deliver impactful product training: Share knowledge and expertise with retail, marketing, and visual merchandising teams.
  • Adapt global initiatives: Drive local relevance and growth through data-driven decision making.
  • Analyze sales trends and inventory: Develop action plans to optimize performance.
  • Recommend visual and promotional adjustments: Boost sales and revenue through data-driven insights.
  • Identify replenishment opportunities: Maximize sales potential through effective inventory management.
Experience, Skills & Knowledge:
  • Proven leadership and management experience: Successful track record in merchandise planning within the fashion/apparel retail field.
  • Exceptional Excel and data analysis skills: Interpret complex merchandising metrics and financial data to inform decisions.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking: Analyze market trends and develop innovative product strategies.
  • Strong organizational skills: Manage multiple projects, deadlines, and shifting priorities effectively.
  • Proactive approach: Identify opportunities and address challenges through solutions-focused thinking.
  • Exceptional communication skills: Influence, present, and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
