About the Role

This is a permanent full-time position that will contribute to the wider business agenda. As a Human Resources Business Partner with an IR specialism, you will deliver on both operational and strategic HR solutions to business leaders and their people.

The role includes:

  • Formulating stakeholder and union engagement strategies to support organisational goals and resolve workplace issues.
  • Crafting and negotiating enterprise agreements that meet the needs of both employees and the organisation.
  • Designing and managing IR policies, procedures, and governance frameworks to ensure compliance with labor laws.
  • Providing effective IR management, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and performance management.

You will collaborate with the People and Culture leadership team to maintain a strategic perspective on long-term business success, addressing opportunities and risks.

About the Person

We are looking for an experienced HR practitioner with a strong background in industrial relations. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in developing enterprise agreement negotiation strategies.
  • Experience in leading negotiations for enterprise agreements.
  • Experience working within a highly unionised workforce.
  • Experience developing and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders, particularly with union organisations.
  • Experience in developing industrial relations strategies for a large organisation.
  • Experience managing IR disputes, investigations, and disciplinary outcomes.

The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of labor laws and regulations, and the ability to navigate complex workplace dynamics. They will maintain a positive organisational culture and ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
