Occupational Health and Safety Professional

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Horner Recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing health and safety policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments and hazard analyses, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement OHSE policies and procedures
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses
- Ensure compliance with OHSE legislation and standards
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions
- Build collaborative relationships for WHS management
- Provide OHSE training and support to staff
- Monitor and report on OHSE performance and improvements
- Promote a culture of safety and wellbeing
- Coordinate emergency response plans
- Collaborate with management on OHSE initiatives
- Oversee OHSE audits and contractor management
- Manage workplace injuries and claims
- Foster proactive safety behaviours and leadership
- Support HSE policy deployment and risk management
- Maintain a consultative approach to HSE development
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in OHSE or related field
- Minimum 5 years' experience in OHSE, preferably in automotive or manufacturing
- In-depth knowledge of OHSE legislation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Experience in Work Cover, incident, and hazard management
