Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Horizontal Directional Driller to fill a key position in our civil construction team. This individual will be responsible for operating directional drills, tracking underground utility services, and installing bore pipe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate Ditch Witch directional drills and track with DCI locating equipment
  • Locate underground utility services using advanced technologies
  • Install bore pipe safely and efficiently
  • Ability to operate excavators, vacuum trucks, and heavy rigid trucks
  • Read and understand DBYD and Construction plans
  • Maintain accurate in-field documentation and perform daily maintenance checks
  • Solve problems effectively while adhering to OH&S policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Proven experience in the civil construction industry with knowledge of sewer, water, and stormwater systems
  • Strong understanding of OH&S policies and procedures
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Able to read and understand technical documents and plans

Skills Required

  • Operating skills for directional drills, excavators, vacuum trucks, and heavy rigid trucks
  • Knowledge of utility services and bore pipe installation
  • Technical document reading and interpretation skills

Working Conditions

  • Work in various weather conditions and challenging environments
  • Physical demands require working at heights and navigating uneven terrain
