Job Description

The Future Generation Joint Venture brings together the combined engineering experience and expertise of leading contractors to deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world, Snowy 2.0.

This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will provide a significant opportunity for professionals to showcase their skills and experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating tunnel boring machines (TBMs) controlling cutterheads, ensuring proper alignment and driving during TBM operations, and conducting daily maintenance and routine servicing of equipment.

In addition, the candidate will be required to work according to schedule and plans, familiarize themselves with approved emergency procedures, contingency plans, communication procedures, and rescue plans, and complete shift/daily records.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience with operation of TBMs controlling cutterheads
  • Segment erector operating experience
  • Proven ability to identify and report safety hazards
  • Current drivers licence, high risk work licence - Forklift, EWP, DG, Working at Heights, Confined Space, General Construction Induction training (white card), and Right to work in Australia
  • Ability to pass medical and criminal history checks
