Job Title: Mobile Equipment Technician


Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mobile Equipment Technician to join our team at the Granny Smith Gold Mine. As a key member of our Fixed Plant team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing mobile equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform scheduled maintenance tasks on light vehicles and small heavy diesel equipment, including inspections, servicing, adjustments, troubleshooting, and timely repairs.
  2. Conduct preventative maintenance through regular inspections and servicing to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
  3. Collaborate with other technicians and tradespeople to resolve complex maintenance issues and ensure smooth operation of plant equipment.
  4. Document all maintenance activities and complete administrative processing requirements associated with maintenance duties.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A trade qualification in Mechanical or Automotive engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Signed-off post-trade mechanical maintenance experience working on fixed plant infrastructure, light vehicles, and small heavy diesel equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work within a team environment.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Possession of Mobile Crane, Dogging, Rigger Basic EWP, and Forklift tickets (desirable).
