**Role Overview**

UNSW Sydney is seeking appointments at Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level for people whose teaching and research interests align with one or more of our existing programs.

The School of Mathematics and Statistics at UNSW is a major centre of research and teaching in the mathematical sciences, with notable strengths in fundamental research right through to groundbreaking applications.

Applications in all areas are welcome, and one of the appointments will be in the area of Data Science or Statistics.

**Key Responsibilities**
  • Teaching and research interests aligned with one or more of our existing programs
  • Demonstrated research ability in Applied Mathematics, Pure Mathematics, Statistics, or Data Science
  • Effective teaching experience and a strong publication record in top, peer-reviewed journals
  • Capacity to continue productive research at the international level and a record of, or demonstrated potential for, success in external research funding

Additionally, applicants may be required to undergo pre-employment checks prior to appointment to these roles.
