Job Role Overview:

The position of Senior Project Officer is a pivotal role within the Government Relations and Advocacy department. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for supporting the agency's Commissioners, senior executives, and broader organization in their engagement with government, parliament, policy departments, and other external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include providing administrative support, communications, and engagement activities, workforce capability development, leadership, and events coordination. You will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve key objectives.

  • Administrative Support: Plan, track, and prioritize key team priorities to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Communications and Engagement Activity: Prepare presentations, briefings, and speeches for senior executives, Commissioners, and government officials.
  • Workforce Capability: Support staff growth through process review, knowledge management, systems, data analysis, and Commissioner induction.
  • Leadership: Supervise and support junior staff in the team, branch, and broader organization.
  • Events Coordination: Coordinate stakeholder meetings and events throughout the year.
