Maternity Nurse Role

We are seeking dedicated registered nurses to join our maternity team as part of a pioneering initiative that strengthens our model of care.

About the Opportunity
  • This role is designed to complement existing midwife to patient ratios and provide essential support alongside midwives, to care for neonates requiring additional clinical care on the maternity ward.
  • The program is coordinated by SaferCare Victoria in collaboration with the Department of Health and the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (ANMF).

Your Responsibilities

  • You will have a minimum of one year's experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • You will have experience in a maternity, maternal and child health, women's health, neonatal, paediatrics or postoperative environment.
  • You will be interested in pursuing postgraduate education in midwifery, neonatal nursing, women's health or a related field.

Requirements

  • A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
  • Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
