Procurement and Stores Officer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the position of Procurement and Stores Officer. The primary objective of this role is to provide procurement services and stores management to our organization, ensuring efficient management of orders, requisitions, and purchasing while maintaining a well-organized store at our depot.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive procurement services and stores management support to our organization.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless management of orders, requisitions, and purchasing processes, while overseeing the stores at our depot.
  • Foster a high standard of work practices among responsible officers and deliver an efficient service to employees and suppliers.
Key Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in stores operations and management.
  • Proven commitment to exceptional customer service, with the ability to respond to all customer inquiries, both internal and external, in a professional and patient manner.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly, accurately, and efficiently.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly acquire knowledge of corporate programs used by our organization.
  • Commitment to adhering to our Code of Conduct, Workplace Health and Safety, and Anti-discrimination policies.
  • Hold a Class C Driver's License, Construction Industry Induction Card, and Forklift License, or be able to obtain these certifications.
Benefits and Qualifications
  • Prior experience in Local Government and familiarity with the Civica Authority system would be beneficial.
  • Current First Aid Certificate and ChemCert Certificate would be advantageous.
  • Forklift License is preferred but not essential.
