About Us
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to lead and deliver culturally safe wellbeing services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in a tertiary education setting.
Job Summary:
The Senior Indigenous Counsellor will provide holistic care, develop and deliver an Indigenous Student Wellbeing Program, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure culturally appropriate support.
- Develop and deliver the Indigenous Student Wellbeing Program.
- Provide culturally responsive counselling, case coordination, and advocacy.
- Collaborate with student support services and other stakeholders.
- Build referral pathways with external community agencies.
- Contribute to health promotion and wellbeing initiatives.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Qualifications in Psychology or Social Work, with current registration.
- Demonstrated experience providing culturally responsive counselling.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience supporting clients with complex needs.
- A commitment to cultural safety, continuous learning, and inclusive practice.
