Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Site Operations Manager to oversee the delivery of key infrastructure projects. This is a full-time position based in Brisbane, offering a unique balance between office and site work.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the strategic objectives of our rapidly growing organisation are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical oversight and engineering support for construction projects, including site inspections, progress monitoring, and quality assurance
  • Collaborating with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery within timeline constraints
  • Analyzing and interpreting engineering design documents, specifications, and drawings to identify and resolve technical issues
  • Preparing detailed project reports, documentation, and progress updates for senior management and clients
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of project management processes and procedures
  • Mentoring and supporting junior engineers and technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge
Requirements

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in Civil, Mechanical or Structural Engineering, or a related field
  • Previous experience in a similar site engineer or project engineer role, ideally within the water or gas infrastructure industry
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex construction projects, with a strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and equipment
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound engineering decisions
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and environmental best practices
