Project Administrator

This is a key role in the successful delivery of a significant construction project. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a strong understanding of the full project lifecycle, from procurement to final accounts.

The primary responsibilities include managing the procurement process, drafting and reviewing contracts, processing variations and payment certificates accurately and on time, and ensuring compliance with all contractual obligations and company policies.

The successful candidate will have proven experience as a Contracts Administrator on medium to large-scale construction projects, in-depth knowledge of Australian construction contracts, and strong negotiation and communication skills.

Additionally, they will possess exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities, proficiency in relevant project management software, and a degree in construction management or a related field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing the full procurement process, including preparing and issuing tender packages, evaluating submissions, and awarding contracts.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and administering contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Processing variations, progress claims, and payment certificates accurately and on time.
  • Ensuring compliance with all contractual obligations, legal requirements, and company policies.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience as a Contracts Administrator on medium to large-scale construction projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of Australian construction contracts.
  • At least 6 years plus as a Contract Administrator.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in relevant project management software.
  • A degree in construction management, quantity surveying, or a related field is highly desirable.
