Job Title: Skilled Plastering Professional

We are seeking a qualified and experienced plastering professional to join our Queensland construction team.

About the Job

The successful candidate will be required to work on a wide range of residential projects, applying plaster or other mixtures to inner and outer surfaces of buildings, ensuring a smooth finish to building walls (inside and outside) and ceilings.

As part of the construction team, your main role is to:

  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, patching, and applying primer to ensure optimal adhesion of plaster.
  • Mix plaster according to project specifications, ensuring proper ratios and consistency.
  • Apply plaster to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces using various tools and techniques.
  • Smooth plaster to achieve desired textures, finishes, and uniformity.
  • Fitting internal plasterboards.
  • Installing outer coverings such as pebble-dash or sand, on outside walls for protection.
  • Using moulds and casts for the creation of ornaments and other types of plaster work.
  • Repairing and patching cracks, holes, and imperfections in plasterwork.
  • Following detailed instructions, blueprints, and specifications to achieve desired outcomes.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A qualification and/or 3+ years' experience as a skilled plasterer.
  • Sound knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety requirements.
  • A Construction OHS card (white card).
  • Own tools.
  • Own reliable transport.
  • A current Driver's license.
