Tactical Skills Training Professional

About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Tactical Skills Training Professional. As a key member of our training unit, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality firearms, tactical skills, and chemical agents training to instructors and correctional officers.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement instructional standards that ensure consistency of training across all tactical skills programs.
- Design and review assessment activities that evaluate course participants' competency in the tactical skills curriculum.
- Evaluate training and assessment tools to ensure they meet departmental policies and procedures.
- Use data from training evaluations to inform continuous improvement of the tactical skills training curriculum and content.
- Provide training and professional development to centre-based tactical skills instructors.
- Evaluate and guide training delivered by centre-based tactical skills instructors.
- Liaise with correctional centre management to coordinate a training calendar for tactical skills programs.
- Ensure the safety of course participants undergoing high-risk training while complying with WH&S regulations.
- Conduct armoury audits and report findings as required.
