About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fund Accountant to join our team at Iress. As a Fund Accountant, you will play a critical role in supporting the integrity of our accounting and data systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete daily bank account reconciliations and manage exceptions efficiently
  • Perform monthly asset reconciliations and manage exceptions in a timely manner
  • Liaise with processing teams to investigate and clear exception items
  • Collaborate with internal and external parties to obtain information for reconciliation purposes
  • Assist other accountants and senior staff with ad-hoc reconciliations and accounting tasks
  • Perform ad-hoc fund accounting tasks as required
Requirements
  • 2+ years of fund accounting experience preferred
  • Practical knowledge in reconciling large datasets and amalgamating subsidiary ledgers
  • Sound understanding of investment markets and the broader finance industry
  • Understanding of distributions, tax provisioning for superannuation funds
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Preferred knowledge and experience in audit for superannuation/investments
  • Client delivery and service experience
  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
  • CPA (preferred for future advancement but not necessary)
