Job Description

The Salvation Army delivers employment services through Employment Plus, providing support to job seekers in the Workforce Australia program. As an Employment Consultant, you will work with participants to overcome barriers to employment and transition into the workforce.



Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a high-volume caseload of job seekers to achieve sustainable employment outcomes.
  • Engage actively with 'work ready' job seekers to secure employment opportunities, including reverse marketing to employers.
  • Identify and address barriers preventing job seekers from being job ready.
  • Provide job seekers with the tools and confidence to enter the workforce.
  • Apply strong problem-solving skills and resilience to maximise employment outcomes.


Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with job seekers and stakeholders.
  • A confident and trustworthy self-starter who thrives on achieving meaningful results and problem solving.
  • Ability to think on your feet and adapt to challenging situations and an ever-changing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in achieving and exceeding business KPIs and targets.
  • Computer skills and knowledge of MS Office is essential.
