About Us...

Want to grow your career while helping people find a job they love?

At Breakthru, you won't be stuck behind a desk — you'll be out in the community, working side-by-side with clients where it matters most.

As part of the Royal Rehab Group, you'll be backed by one of Australia's most respected not-for-profits, with over 125 years of experience delivering life-changing disability and rehabilitations services. This means you'll have the stability, resources, and support to grow your career and make a real impact in people's lives.

About The Role..

Breakthru is proud to be selected by the Department of Social Services to deliver the new Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) program across key regions in New South Wales and Queensland. This means we'll be supporting more people than ever to access meaningful employment and build lasting careers — and we're growing our team to help make it happen.

As a Career Coach at Breakthru, you'll support individuals with disability, injury or health conditions as they prepare for a meaningful career. Working as part of a dedicated and collaborative team, you'll guide people through the job-readiness journey - helping them build confidence, develop skills, and achieve their career goals.

From the first conversation to job application and interview preparation, you'll be there every step of the way - empowering individuals to take control of their future and feel ready to step into the workforce.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Working closely with clients as they plan their next career steps, providing support to find the right job along the way.
  • Build strong relationships to understand each client's goals, strengths, and support needs.
  • Provide tailored coaching and regular check-ins to maintain motivation and progress.
  • Connect participants with upskilling opportunities, hands-on experience, and group-based activities.
  • Collaborate with employers and community services to open pathways to employment and training.
  • Meet or exceed internal and external performance benchmarks.
  • Champion Breakthru's values of inclusion, empowerment, and person-centred practice.

About You..

You bring empathy, energy and a strong drive to make a difference. With experience, or a genuine passion, for employment services. You're confident supporting people, building trust and guiding them toward meaningful and sustainable careers. You're outcomes-focused, highly organised, and thrive in a fast-paced, people-first environment.

You love getting to know each client's unique strengths, goals and challenges so you can coach them effectively and build their confidence for their next career. At the same time, you enjoy engaging with employers; taking the time to understand their business needs so you can prepare candidates who are the right fit. Your strong relationship-building skills allow you to connect with both clients and employers alike.

You're proactive, professional, and detail-oriented, always maintaining accurate records and upholding a high standard of service. Above all, you lead with integrity, empathy, and a commitment to inclusive, person-centred support.
