Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety and Compliance Specialist to lead the safety, security, and crisis management of our stores.

This role involves identifying, assessing, and treating risks to ensure a safe and secure environment for our visitors, co-workers, and contractors. You will be responsible for driving a strong safety culture within the store and working closely with the management team to guide and support risk and compliance measures.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement effective safety systems and processes to mitigate risks and prevent accidents
  2. Lead training, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and standards
  3. Collaborate with the Emergency Response Team to manage emergency cases and provide appropriate action according to established protocols
  4. Work with the Country Safety & Security Leader to ensure all IKEA standards, risk management frameworks, and legal requirements are met
  5. Be the first point of contact for any out-of-hours Safety & Security incidents

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of safety and security regulations and standards
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proven experience in safety and compliance management
