Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our organization as a Safety and Compliance Specialist. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in occupational health and safety, with experience in implementing and maintaining a comprehensive WHS management system.

This role will involve working closely with operational leadership teams to integrate the GPC Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Management System into business operations. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Integration of HSE Management System: Collaborate with operational teams to ensure seamless integration of the HSE Management System into daily operations.
  • WHS Minimum Standards: Partner with leadership teams to implement WHS minimum standards across the organization.
  • Leadership Development: Provide guidance and support to leaders and managers to enhance their skills in leading safety initiatives and driving improved safety performance.
  • Safety Communications: Develop and deliver engaging safety communications to promote a culture of safety within the organization.
  • Policy Implementation: Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws and regulations.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Relevant Qualifications: Possess a WHS qualification or related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience in a Business Partner or Advisor role.
  • Key Skills:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively and influence outcomes in a commercial and pragmatic way.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
