At our organisation, we are currently seeking a highly skilled Collections Officer to join our team.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

- Communicating with customers to maximise the collection of outstanding debt.

- Explaining the consequences of non-payment and the benefits of settling the debt.

- Negotiating payment plans or settlements that are acceptable to both the customer and the company.

- Recording all communication and payment details in the customer database.

- Following up on payment arrangements and ensuring they are honored.

- Identifying, escalating and assisting in resolving debt queries and disputes.

- Maintaining broker and customer goodwill during the collections process.

- Updating management and sales teams of emerging problems including uncollectable accounts.

- Maintaining a professional and courteous manner at all times.

We are looking for candidates with relevant qualifications, such as a high school diploma or equivalent, and experience in collections or accounts receivable.

A strong understanding of time management and organisational skills is essential, as well as the ability to acquire knowledge and skills to successfully maintain collection KPIs.

Solid literacy and numeracy skills, interpersonal skills and communications skills are also necessary.

The ideal candidate will be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, and have good administrative skills.

Salary will be aligned to the level of experience and includes superannuation.
