An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Payroll Officer to join Brandbank Group's dynamic team at Seed Heritage.

    Key Responsibilities:
    
  • Process fortnightly payrolls for store staff, including calculations as per the Modern Retail Award, coding, and entering details into the MicrOpay system.
  • Ensure timely and efficient processing of time sheets to guarantee correct remuneration on the due date and comply with relevant industrial instruments.
  • Input new staff members' details into MicrOpay, including taxation, banking, and superannuation information, and review termination calculations to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Award interpretation of both Australian and New Zealand awards, enabling assistance with adjustments in Timetarget or MicrOpay built-in formulas.
  • Upgrade pay classifications for employees when increases take place according to the Modern Retail Award.
  • Respond promptly to payroll queries from store teams or management.

    Requirements:
    
  • Minimum 2-3+ years experience in a payroll position, preferably in the retail industry.
  • Sound knowledge of MicrOpay or similar payroll systems, and preferably Humanforce (Timetarget) Time and Attendance Systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of awards and award classifications, including the Modern Retail Award.
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, with an understanding of the payroll cycle and processes.
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail skills.
