Work Health and Safety Officer

This is a complex role that involves undertaking various work health and safety activities.

The successful candidate will be working within a framework of legislation, established principles, work practices, and procedures in accordance with Defence's mission and business objectives.

  • Key responsibilities include:
  • Risk management and mitigation to ensure a safe working environment
  • Evaluating activities and processes for compliance with work health and safety legislation, policies, and procedures
  • Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders on complex and sensitive work health and safety issues
  • Problem-solving and analysis using professional expertise
