Business Educator Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced educator to join our teaching team at a college that provides pathways to university.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and passionate individual to make a real difference in the lives of students. As a business educator, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and relevant learning experiences in business-related disciplines, supporting a diverse student cohort, and preparing them for successful progression to university programs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Curriculum Development: Develop and deliver curriculum, lead teaching teams, ensure assessment quality, and provide academic support to students.
  • Student Support: Identify and support students at risk through proactive academic assistance, respond to student queries, and provide academic support through consultation.
  • Unit Management: Manage and coordinate the delivery of units, including developing unit outlines, assessment guides, and marking rubrics, maintaining learning materials, and ensuring units meet quality assurance and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Liaise with university staff, program managers, and support services to ensure curriculum alignment, student progress, and academic integrity.

As a business educator, you will be part of a collaborative community that extends beyond the classroom, connecting educators, student support specialists, and professionals across diverse disciplines, all committed to empowering student success.

The successful candidate will have a postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline area, preferably Marketing, Economics, or Communication from a business perspective, aligned to the Diploma of Commerce curriculum. They will also possess minimum two years' teaching experience in higher education or a pathway college environment, at AQF Level 5 or above, and demonstrated computer literacy skills relevant to the role and/or discipline standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications
