The PositionThe Personal Care Assistant is responsible for providing competent personal care, support and assistance to all residents under the direction and guidance of the senior clinical team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care to assist residents to maintain independence and dignity with respect to activities of daily living and lifestyle.
- Attend to meal delivery and refreshments as required.
- Record observations on relevant assessment charts and document any observed exceptions to the care plan in the progress notes; and report such to the EN/RN.
- Attend to duties as allocated and/or delegated by the RN/EN, including general ward duties.
- Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in residential aged care.
- Flexibility to work across morning, afternoon and night shifts.
- To be considered for employment, each candidate must satisfy the legislative requirements of Aged Care Worker Screening to ensure suitability to work in the aged care industry.
