Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Director of Medical Services to provide effective leadership and management of medical services provided by both senior and junior medical staff within a vibrant multidisciplinary setting.

This role is responsible for managing health financial and activity reporting systems, and demonstrating expertise in these areas.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of operating effectively in a clinical leadership and management role at an executive/senior level, inclusive of medical administration, medical workforce, professional practice, clinical governance, clinical ethics, clinical teaching and clinical leadership.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Registered as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia (MBA) / Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (RACMA).
  • Demonstrated experience in managing health financial and activity reporting systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary health issues, rural healthcare priorities and reform agendas within the NSW Health system.
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, especially with senior medical practitioners and clinicians.
