About the Role

PFD Food Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to lead our warehouse and transport function in achieving our daily objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the daily operations of our warehouse, transport, and stock control functions to ensure seamless execution and optimal efficiency.
  • Ensure that all staff and branch work practices comply with company policies, legislative requirements, and industry standards, including OH&S and HACCP guidelines.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) and targets within agreed timeframes.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement branch-level strategies to improve customer outcomes and branch profitability.
  • Maintain the warehouse and associated vehicles and tools to the highest standard.
  • Support the management team in achieving stock control, replenishing, and supply chain objectives.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in an operations management role, preferably in the food services industry.
  • Knowledge and experience in a cold store environment.
  • Strong industry and product knowledge.
  • Excellent people management skills.
  • Well-developed leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to motivate others and create a team environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously within expected deadlines.
  • Capacity to work autonomously.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • MR and Forklift license essential.
  • Certificate III in Transport & Logistics would be preferred.
