Future Civil Engineer Opportunities

Maitland City Council is launching a comprehensive engineering program to equip recent graduates with valuable professional experience and skills.
This initiative offers two positions for Civil Engineers, starting in January 2026, for a duration of two years.
Main Responsibilities- Investigate and design various civil engineering projects, encompassing traffic and drainage investigations.
- Prepare detailed specifications and contract documents.
- Support the delivery of construction works and development tasks as needed.
- Degree-level qualifications in Civil Engineering, obtained within the last two years or by January 2026.
- A deep understanding of contemporary civil engineering principles and practices.
- Experience in project support, research, analysis, and information presentation.
- A valid Class C driver's license.
This full-time temporary role involves working 35 hours per week. Graduates will also have access to our staff benefits, including flexible working arrangements and a fitness passport.
