About the Position

This is a 12-month fixed term full-time appointment at 86 hours per fortnight based within an Immunology Laboratory, commencing in early 2025. The immunopathology post is accredited by the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (100% core laboratory training).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop expertise in performing, analysing, troubleshooting, interpreting and reporting immunology tests.
  • Maintain liaison with clinicians both internally and externally regarding immunology laboratory tests.
  • Assist with workload prioritisation in the laboratory and communicate critical and clinically important test results.
  • Provide direct clinical care to allergy and immunology patients through two outpatient clinics.
  • Participate in departmental and multidisciplinary meetings and education sessions.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Current medical registration with AHPRA
  • At least 2 years of experience in a formal allergy & immunology training program or at least 1 year of experience in a formal immunopathology training program
  • Successful completion of the FRACP examinations or equivalent
