Dental Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and client-focused Dental Assistant to support students and UQ clinical staff at the new, student-led dental clinic in our esteemed Oral Health Centre at Herston.
Key Responsibilities- Booking, receiving and preparing patients for treatment.
- Assisting staff and students in dental treatments and procedures.
- Preparing and cleaning instruments and equipment before and after treatments.
- Assisting with collection, labelling and dispatch of study models, specimens and dental work to laboratories.
- Ensuring optimal patient treatment and smooth running of the clinic.
- Ensuring safe disposal of hazardous or toxic waste and material.
- Maintaining accurate clinic records.
- Be a proficient user of the Patient Management System and provide support and guidance to staff and students around its use.
