We are seeking a reliable and client-focused Dental Assistant to support students and UQ clinical staff at our esteemed Oral Health Centre at Herston.

• Booking, receiving and preparing patients for treatment.
• Assisting staff and students in dental treatments and procedures.
• Preparing and cleaning instruments and equipment before and after treatments.
• Assisting with collection, labelling and dispatch of study models, specimens and dental work to laboratories.

• Ensuring optimal patient treatment and smooth running of the clinic.
• Ensuring safe disposal of hazardous or toxic waste and material.
• Maintaining accurate clinic records.
• Be a proficient user of the Patient Management System and provide support and guidance to staff and students around its use.

• Certificate III in Dental Assisting.
• Demonstrated experience in dental assisting.
• A strong orientation to the provision of a high level of customer service, demonstrating empathy and sensitivity when required.

• Ability to take initiative and work independently, with minimal supervision.
