About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Member Services Officer at Genesis Fitness.

As a Member Services Officer, you will be the face of our business, providing exceptional customer service to our members, casual users, and potential new members. Your primary responsibility will be to acquire new members and deliver first-class customer service, ensuring it aligns with our Mission, Vision, and Values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospecting and Sales: Identify and pursue new business opportunities for the club, representing the facility and Genesis in a positive and professional manner.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to all customers, both in person and over the telephone, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Cash Handling and POS Systems: Apply sound cash handling principles and utilize Point of Sale (POS) systems efficiently.
  • Program Promotion: Promote the center's services and programs to customers, accepting bookings and enrollments.
  • Team Goals and Targets: Work towards individual and team goals and targets, as set by the Assistant Club Manager and Club Manager.
Requirements
  • Passion for Fitness: A genuine passion for health and fitness, with a desire to help others achieve their goals.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with customers and colleagues.
  • Cash Handling and POS Systems: Experience with cash handling and Point of Sale (POS) systems.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the fitness, sales, customer service, or retail industry.
  • Certifications: Current First Aid & CPR Certification, Working With Children Check (or equivalent), and National Police Check.
