As a trusted tax professional, you will be responsible for understanding the unique needs of our clients and providing tailored solutions to meet their compliance and risk management obligations. You will also support some of Australia's most iconic clients across financial services to navigate through the changing tax landscape and build strong relationships.


This role requires a high level of technical expertise in tax advisory and compliance services, gained in a professional service environment of a Big 4 accounting firm or a mid-tier firm. A good understanding of the Australian Tax market with exposure to International markets is also essential.


The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to work collaboratively as part of a team. They will also have strong research skills and problem-solving abilities, with an eye for detail and efficiency.


Some of the key responsibilities of this role include managing client portfolios, driving relationships with clients across a range of industry specializations, and liaising with relevant taxation authorities. The role also involves supporting complex and strategic tax projects, working with clients and the broader team to proactively manage their Australian tax obligations.


Additionally, the successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for being at the forefront of change and navigating an increasingly complex tax environment for clients through innovative solutions. They will also show a keen interest in technology and automation, with a willingness to coach and mentor junior team members.


Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Postgraduate academic qualifications such as a MBA or a Masters is highly regarded
  • Experience delivering tax advisory and compliance services gained in a profession service environment of a Big 4 accounting firm, a mid tier firm or a Law firm
  • A good understanding of the Australian Tax market with exposure to International markets
  • Use data analytics to provide relevant insights for decision making purposes
  • Partner with clients to provide assistance with regulatory reviews, investigations, disclosures
  • Efficient with an eye for detail and have strong research skills and problem solving abilities
  • Strong collaboration, interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with excellent business writing and excel skills
