Job Description

We are seeking a skilled trade professional to join our operations team. As a fitter, you will undertake the maintenance, repair and upgrade of water supply and sewerage facilities, pumping equipment, fixed plant and mechanical equipment across the region.

This is a hands-on role that requires a strong technical background in fitting and machining or a mechanical field. You will work in a team environment, providing mechanical and fitting services to other sections of the organization on occasions.

The position is part of a shared on-call roster, providing emergency response to mechanical breakdowns of critical water supply and sewerage plant and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance, repair and upgrade of water supply and sewerage facilities
  • Providing mechanical and fitting services to other sections of the organization
  • Participating in a shared on-call roster for emergency response
Requirements:
  • Trade certificate in Fitting and Machining or Mechanical field
  • Knowledge of mechanical equipment and control systems
  • Current driver's license class C or equivalent
  • Able to lead and direct staff, work unsupervised and assess and plan works
  • Demonstrated knowledge of workplace safety procedures
