RUC Cementation and Mining, a leader in the mining industry, requires an experienced mechanical trade fitter to perform critical maintenance tasks at our Appin NSW Shaft Project.

Job Description:

We are committed to delivering high-quality services that meet our clients' requirements and expectations. As part of our underground division, you will be responsible for servicing and repairing complex machinery, as well as performing routine maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Completing machinery servicing and repair breakdowns
  • Assembling, disassembling, modifying, and maintaining transmissions, brakes, winders, sheaves, ropes, pneumatic rock drills, and feed rails
  • Repairing hydraulic systems, pipes, hoses, low voltage electrical faults, bearing, and sheave, pneumatic rock drills, and feed rails, replacing broken bolts
  • Servicing and maintaining filters, changing oil
  • Attending to breakdowns of machinery
  • Completing all relevant safe check requirements
  • Changing components of hydraulics
  • Testing and fault finding of light and heavy machines
  • Completing service logs and daily/weekly run sheets
  • Operating Integrated Tool Carrier (I.T.)
  • Tyre changes
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Certificate III or higher in Diesel Mechanic or Mobile Plant Technology
  • Strong knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Valid Manual Australian Driver's Licence
  • Able to provide National Police Clearance (within 6 months of commencement)
  • Working Safely at Heights
  • White Card
  • Hold current Provide First Aid or ability to complete the course
